The Northern Nevada Chapter of NARPM\u00ae was established in the summer of 2014, to serve all residential property managers in the northern Nevada area, including Reno, Sparks, Carson City, Minden, Garderville, and includes the many towns and cities located in the northern counties, shown to the left. \u00a0<\/p>\n
NARPM\u00ae is a national association of licensed real estate professionals who know first-hand the unique challenges of managing single-family and small residential properties. The organization promotes a high standard in business ethics, professionalism and fair housing practice.\u00a0 NARPM\u00ae also certifies its members in the standards and practices of the residential property management industry, and promotes continuing professional education for all its members.\u00a0<\/p>\n
A large number of single-family dwellings across the United States are non-owner occupied.\u00a0 As a group, managers of small residential properties oversee billions of dollars worth of assets, yet have had little or no voice in such important matters as tax law, legislation, legal document requirements, accounting practices, insurance, building codes, zoning and utilities.\u00a0 Prior to the inception of NARPM\u00ae in October 1988, there was no organization to represent this large group of property managers and their clients.<\/p>\n
Members of NARPM\u00ae are individuals who are engaged in the management of residential properties as agents for others, licensed in those states that require licensing. \u00a0In Nevada, that requirement includes both a real estate sales license, and a property management permit. Our NARPM\u00ae membership shows we are serious about our profession, and we continue to educate ourselves, through this organization and elsewhere.\u00a0 Vendors who are affiliated with NARPM\u00ae are selected based on their professionalism and credentials, as well as their committment to serve the needs of maintaining residential rental properties.<\/p>\n
